July 4, 1978 - Oct. 4, 2024

Kevin James Maggrett Jr., who worked alongside his father at Maggrett Auto Body in Bridgehampton, died of a heart attack on Oct. 4 in Edmeston, N.Y. He was 46.

Mr. Maggrett had moved from Southampton to Edmeston in 2019 with his parents, Kevin James Maggrett Sr. and the former Irene Guyer.

He was "always loving and caring" and had "concern for all creatures great and small," his family wrote in an obituary posted on the website of the Delker and Terry Funeral Home in Edmeston. Mr. Maggrett enjoyed movies, reading, and technology. Good food and cooking and dining with family and friends were important to him.

He was born in Southampton on July 4, 1978, and graduated from high school there. He lived with his parents in Shinnecock Hills.

His parents survive, as do a sister, Katherine Maggrett Buckley, her husband, Padric Buckley, and their son, Ian, who live in Shirley.
