Three Injured in Accidents

Thu, 12/02/2021 - 09:04

In two crashes on town roads this week, three people were injured. Two of them were taken by ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.

According to a town police report, it is unclear what caused an accident on Friday morning between two cars on Springs-Fireplace Road near Washington Avenue in Springs. Whatever the cause, Diana Flores of Wainscott, 47, driving a Toyota S.U.V., rear-ended a GMC van driven by Franaldo A. Hanna of East Hampton, 35. Both drivers complained of pain. Ms. Flores, with a facial injury, was taken to the hospital; Mr. Hanna complained of chest pain but did not need an ambulance. Balcuns and Rapid Recovery towed their vehicles away.

In Wainscott on the afternoon of Nov. 24, Kevin Keyser of East Hampton, 63, driving a Chevrolet pickup truck registered to a landscaping company, was rear-ended by Lulu Romano of Water Mill, 27, who was driving a Jeep. Police said they were in stop-and-go traffic on westbound Montauk Highway near Wainscott Stone Road at the time. Mr. Keyser, who sustained a cut on his nose, told police he felt dizzy, and an ambulance was called to take him to the hospital.
