Stabbing a Locked Door

East Hampton Town police reported just one arrest last week, on Sept. 15 in Northwest Harbor.

Rocio Vazquez-Naula of East Hampton, 31, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, and criminal mischief, also a misdemeanor, after allegedly “stabbing a locked bedroom door with a large kitchen knife trying to make entry,” at 53 Wooded Oak Lane.

Mr. Vazquez’s six-year-old daughter was sleeping in the room, according the arrest report, which noted that the incident took place at around 2 a.m.

The accused was additionally charged with a third misdemeanor for “acting in a manner likely to be injurious to a person less than 17 years old,” and faces a fourth and final misdemeanor charge of menacing.

“A bald man with a briefcase” walked through his property on Friday afternoon, a Sag Harbor resident told police. The man showed up on his doorbell camera, said the homeowner, walking across the front lawn and then out of frame toward his backyard gate.
