After allegedly striking and breaking a bedroom door in a Cosdrew Lane basement on the afternoon of Oct. 23, Skyler Boothe of East Hampton was charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.
According to East Hampton Town police, the “unknown object” that was used in the incident hit Dylan Kulp through the damaged door.
Ms. Boothe, 43, was additionally charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief for causing about $100 in damage to the door.
With two months to go until the East Hampton Town Police Department takes over the lion’s share of emergency dispatching responsibilities from East Hampton Village, questions linger about the cost of the transition and how the town department will handle the new workload.
