Thu, 12/22/2022 - 09:26

East Hampton Town police reported a single alcohol-related arrest last week.

On Saturday night, officers stopped a northbound 2011 Dodge Ram driven by Greg Weinstein of Montauk, 57, later reporting that the driver had failed to signal a turn from Springs-Fireplace Road to Queen’s Lane, then made an abrupt U-turn in the intersection and gone back onto Springs-Fireplace Road. Mr. Weinstein performed poorly on field sobriety tests, police said.

He was charged with first-offense driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and with a second misdemeanor after a breathalyzer test showed him to have a high percentage of alcohol in his blood.
