Thu, 03/31/2022 - 10:55

Police recorded a single accident on local roads last week. Lawrence Bressler of East Hampton, 66, driving a 2014 Dodge pickup truck last Thursday morning, told town police that his brakes had locked up as he tried to stop at the intersection of King’s Point Road and Hog Creek Road in Springs.

He sideswiped a tree, drove off the road, and then hit another tree head-on, causing over $1,000 of damage to the front end of the pickup. Mr. Bressler complained of chest pain, and was transported by ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for treatment. Hammer Towing took the truck away.
