Late last Thursday afternoon, Gayle Aaronson of Montauk, 59, was stopped in traffic on Montauk Highway near Amagansett just west of Abraham’s Path when her 2016 Honda S.U.V. was rear-ended by a blue “newer-style” Range Rover.
Ms. Aaronson got out and asked the man at the wheel to pull off the highway and onto the shoulder, but, she told police, he ignored her and drove away. She complained of a head injury, but declined medical attention.
Alec Baldwin, the actor and co-chair of the executive committee of the Hamptons International Film Festival’s board, made headlines unrelated to the festival on Monday after the Range Rover he was driving hit a tree on Pantigo Road.
