Refused to Pay the Bill

Thu, 07/07/2022 - 10:29

A man who refused to pay his food and drink bill at Rowdy Hall was charged with theft of services, disorderly conduct, and “exposure of a person,” defined by police as “showing intimate parts in public,” on Friday night.

Kenneth Barkett, 32, was found by police walking on Newtown Lane and was identified by the manager at Rowdy Hall. When questioned, Mr. Barkett repeatedly failed to follow commands, walking away from the officers and “yelling incoherently.”  In the end, he was brought to the ground, handcuffed, and taken to the village police headquarters for processing. He was arraigned in East Hampton Justice Court on Saturday morning and is due back in court today.
