On Thursday night, intrepid East End artists made it into New York City to celebrate an opening of their work. Lyons Wier Gallery in Chelsea is presenting several artists invited by Beth McNeill, who lives in Southampton with her family including her husband Jeff Muhs, to show works that offer "an intense investigation of personal identities." The show is called "Seeking Engagement NSA" and offered a webcam view of the opening for those snowbound or afraid to risk the slick and slippery sidewalks and curbs of the city. The show includes pieces by Jack Ceglic (profiled in this week's Star), Tom Dash, Tapp Francke, Julia Greffenius, Mr. Muhs, Nika Nesgoda, Darius Yektai, and Gavin Zeigler. It will be reviewed in an upcoming issue of the Star and the show will be open until Feb. 22.
