In October, the Hamptons International Film Festival will honor Julie Andrews with a lifetime achievement award as part of its 25th anniversary celebration.

Ms. Andrews has triumphed on the stage in plays such as "My Fair Lady" and "Camelot," and has charmed children and adults alike with her screen performances in “Mary Poppins” and “The Sound of Music.” Over the years, she has received numerous honors including an Oscar and a Screen Actors Guild lifetime achievement award. In 2001, she was a Kennedy Center honoree.

She has been a long-time presence on the South Fork and has co-authored children's books with her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton. “Home: A Memoir of My Early Years,” was part one of an autobiography that will soon have a sequel.

In addition, she has directed a revival of "My Fair Lady," which is touring Australia, and is the co-creator and star of “Julie’s Greenroom,” a newly released series on Netflix which teaches young children about the theater and the arts.

The film festival will run through Columbus Day weekend in October.
