Wrestling
Also on Jan. 10, the high school’s wrestling team in a match here with Newfield lost 36-30, but had it not been missing Bronco Campsey, Juan Roque, and Adam Beckwith, who were competing in the Eastern States Classic tournament in Albany, the Bonackers would in all likelihood have won.
Bonac’s winners on Jan. 10 were Josue Elias at 131 pounds, Andy Berezueta at 138, Matias Gonzalez at 160, Justin Prince at 190, John Chillogalli at 215, and Franco Palombino at 285.
Campsey was a finalist at 108 pounds in the Eastern States, “an insanely tough tournament,” Ethan Mitchell, Bonac’s coach, said.
