Help With Covid-19 Loans

Thu, 04/16/2020 - 12:23

The East Hampton Chamber of Commerce is offering free 30-minute virtual appointments to help small businesses apply for loans the federal government has made available for those economically impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Loans offered through the Paycheck Protection Program are available to all businesses with fewer than 500 employees, including nonprofits, sole proprietors, independent contractors, and the self-employed. They are fully forgivable as long as business owners retain or quickly rehire their existing staff and maintain salary levels.

The Economic Injury Disaster Loan program offers low-interest loans as well as a $10,000 advance that does not need to be repaid. Those interested in scheduling an appointment can call the Chamber of Commerce or send an email to [email protected].
