Testing for Covid-19 has resumed at the East Hampton Town Hall campus, now provided by CareONE Concierge. The company's testing program at the former Child Development Center of the Hamptons in Wainscott has been discontinued. Appointments for a Covid-19 test are not required.
PCR nasal swab or saliva testing is offered free of charge, with or without insurance. Rapid tests will be offered as of Tuesday at a cost of $109, with a discounted price of $59 for East Hampton Town and Village employees with identification.
This week, the test site at Town Hall is operating on Monday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The site will be closed on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, and on Friday. Those needing a test result by Thanksgiving Day have been asked to visit the testing center on or before Tuesday.
Starting next week, the test site will operate on Monday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pre-registration is at bit.ly/320XAe9.
A testing site in Montauk is expected to open shortly.
CareONE Concierge succeeded Medivolve in providing Covid-19 testing in the town, the latter having terminated its contract with the town following criticism by some residents, who complained about slow turnaround times for test results and inconsistent service during the Delta variant-fueled surge of the coronavirus.
