Trevor Edward Hudson, a son of Pamela and Michael Hudson of East Hampton, and Kimberly Lynn Plank, a daughter of Lisa Plank and Christopher Plank of Harrisburg, Pa., were married on Aug. 8 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Philadelphia. A reception will be held next year when it is safe to do so.

The groom, formerly of East Hampton, is now living with his wife in Philadelphia, where he works as a music teacher at Shawmont Elementary School. He earned bachelor's degrees in music and in music education from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa., and a master's degree in jazz history and research from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

The bride holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Temple University in Philadelphia and a Ph.D. in biology from Rutgers. She works with the Biological Technical Assistance Group's Superfund and Emergency Management Division at the Environmental Protection Agency.

They met in graduate school at Rutgers.
