The Clamshell Foundation’s Great Bonac Fireworks Show is set to go off over Three Mile Harbor on Saturday night at 9:30, with Fireworks by Grucci providing the pyrotechnics.

While the best viewing spot is undoubtedly from a boat in the harbor, people gather on all sides of the harbor to watch from land, including at the head of the harbor, at the end of Hand’s Creek Road, at the Gann Road commercial dock, and at Maidstone Park and Sammy’s Beach.

This year EHP Resort and Marina (the former East Hampton Point) is joining with the foundation to put on the show, and will donate a portion of proceeds from its Light Up the Night Firework Fete to the various organizations and causes supported by the Clamshell Foundation. Reservations, if they are still available, can be made directly through the resort.

The fireworks will be choreographed to music, which will be simulcast on WLIW-FM.

Those who wish to support the foundation and help defray the cost of the fireworks can make donations at clamshellfoundation.org. The rain date is Sunday.

Because of the increased boat traffic, Three Mile Harbor will be closed to shellfishing from Saturday through Wednesday.
