Housing Summit Saturday in Bridgehampton

Thu, 06/12/2025 - 12:46

The Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center, in partnership with the Long Island Housing Coalition, will host an East End Community Housing Summit on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The focus will be on housing challenges across the East End and potential solutions. Experts, such as Hunter Gross, of the Long Island Housing Coalition, and Curtis Highsmith, the executive director of the Southampton Town Housing Authority, will be on hand to provide insight and resources.

“As longtime chair of the Southampton Housing Authority and executive director of the Center for more than 17 years, I know all too well about the severe lack of affordable housing on the East End,” Bonnie Michelle Cannon, the executive director of the child care center, said in a release.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Registration is at bit.ly/43WS1cW.

Hemerocallis may be an unfamiliar term, but the garden adjacent to Clinton Academy once bore the name. This photo shows the gate to the garden some two decades after its establishment in 1941.
