Showfish Wine Dinner

Showfish at Gurney’s Star Island Resort in Montauk, and Skurnik Wines, a New York City importer and distributor, will hold a five-course wine dinner at 7 p.m. next Thursday at the restaurant. The meal prepared by Jeremy Blutstein, Showfish’s chef, will include duck-fat-poached tilefish and squid ink risotto. The dishes will be paired with wines from Paul Blanck, an Alsatian winemaker. The cost is $102.90 and includes dinner, wine pairings, tax, and gratuity. Tickets are available on the resort’s website.

 

Bluedorn at Almond

Almond in Bridgehampton will hold an Artists and Writers night with Scott Bluedorn, a mixed-media artist, on Tuesday at 7. A four-course family style meal of vegan comfort food will be served. The cost is $49 and includes a glass of wine or beer, but not tax and gratuity. Reservations, which are required, are by calling the restaurant.

 

Specials

Fresno in East Hampton is offering several dinner specials. A two-course prix fixe dinner is $30, or $35 with dessert, Thursday through Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (the restaurant is closed Tuesday and Wednesday). On Mondays, a pasta entree with soup or salad is $29. On Thursdays, the prix fixe menu is available all night, and bottles of wine are 30 percent off. On Sundays, Montauk Pearl oysters are $1. 

Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton is offering happy hour food and drink specials at the bar from 5:30 to 7 every weekday except Tuesday (when the restaurant is closed), and on Sunday from noon to 7. Food items include steamed cockles with tomatoes, white wine, garlic, and grilled flatbread for $12, a selection of artisanal cheese or salumi for $10, and the bruschetta of the day for $6.

Townline BBQ in Sagaponack has happy hour food and drink specials at the bar between 4 and 7 on weekdays, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Food items include a cheeseburger or hot dog with fries and a Modelo Especial beer for $9, fries topped with chopped brisket, cheese sauce, sour cream, and jalapenos for $6.25, six chicken wings for $6, and a giant pretzel with cheese sauce or mustard for $7.50.
