A woman escaped injury when her sport utility vehicle rolled over in Amagansett on Thanksgiving morning.

The Amagansett Fire Department responded to the crash on Old Stone Highway, just west of Albert's Landing Road, on Thursday at about 8:30 a.m. Chief Dwayne Denton said the driver explained that her tires had slid on leaves, then as she over-corrected through a turn in the road, her Toyota 4Runner rolled onto its side. She was able to get of the vehicle on her own.

"We did not transport. She denied any care," Chief Denton said.

Part of Old Stone Highway was closed for about an hour because the vehicle was in the middle of the road and had to be towed.
