Films Inside and Out
The Southampton Arts Center’s series of outdoor screenings will continue Friday evening at 8 with “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Marvel Studios’ science fiction action film about a space adventurer pursued by relentless bounty hunters. The screening is free by advance reservation, but reservations will only be honored until 7:45. Guests have been advised to take chairs or blankets.

The center will hold a free indoor screening of Lana Jokel’s documentary “Hal Buckner: Art Is How You See It” on Sunday at 5 p.m. Mr. Buckner, who lives in Southampton, was trained in painting and sculpture; his practice is rooted in line-drawing fundamentals and the female figure. A cocktail reception will follow the screening. Advance reservations have been strongly recommended.

Music Alfresco
The Lynn Blue Band will bring its blend of original music and classic rock covers to the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill on Friday, Sept. 4, at 6 p.m. as part of the museumís Music on the Terrace series.

Based in Montauk, Ms. Blue and her band members, Dave Portocarrero (guitar and vocals) and Jim Nanos (bass and vocals), have performed across the South Fork at venues including the Stephen Talkhouse, Gurneyís, the Montauket, and the Westlake Fish House. Their sets are known to feature songs from the Pretenders, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, and Bonnie Raitt, among other iconic rockers.

The program will take place on the museumís covered terrace and, weather permitting, its lawn. Tickets, which are $20, $10 for members, must be purchased online in advance. Guests have been asked to take their own chairs, as the museum will not provide seating.
