'Hawaii' in Sag
"The Worlds of Julie Andrews," Sag Harbor Cinema's yearlong retrospective, will continue on Sunday afternoon at 4 with a screening of "Hawaii," the film adaptation of James Michener's epic novel about the colonization of Hawaii, which starred Max von Sydow as the Rev. Abner Hale and Ms. Andrews as his new wife, Jerusha.
Directed by George Roy Hill, produced by Walter Mirisch, and written by the blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, the 1966 film also starred Gene Hackman, Richard Harris, and Carroll O'Connor.
The screening will be followed by a conversation between Giulia D'Agnolo Vallan, the cinema's artistic director, and Emma Walton Hamilton, Ms. Andrews's daughter. Tickets will be available for a tiki tasting on the third floor after the talk.
