Guild Hall Hires New Performing Arts Director

Nick Schwartz-Hall has been appointed director of performing arts at Guild Hall, effective April 2023.

Guild Hall has announced that Nick Schwartz-Hall has been chosen as its director of performing arts, effective in April, in advance of its reopening.

Mr. Schwartz-Hall most recently served as senior producer at the Music Center in Los Angeles, where he shepherded the "Summer SoundWaves" outdoor concert series of works by Latin and African diaspora artists, established the center's producing department, oversaw the annual "Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance" season, and produced large-scale concerts.

He previously served as lead producer at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and as an independent producer and programmer working with such artists as Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, Los Lobos, Sam Mendes, Suzan-Lori Parks, Twyla Tharp, and George C. Wolfe.
