Mr. Barrett plays with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the New York City Opera, the American Ballet Theatre, and many others. He has taught at New York University and Composers Concordance Ensemble in New York.

Advocacy in the Garden
The seventh annual Andromeda's Sisters Arts and Advocacy Garden Gala, a benefit for the Neo-Political Cowgirls, will be held at the Leiber Collection in Springs on June 10 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

"What does it mean to be safe in America?" is the theme of this year's event, which will begin at 4:15 with monologues on themes of social justice from plays by women. A panel discussion will follow focused on migrants, L.G.B.T.Q.+, and BIPOC birthing mortality rates.

The panelists are Rahma Soliman, a United Nations Migration Officer; Florence Rolston, a local ob-gyn, and Pooya Mohseni, an Obie Award-winning actress, Iranian immigrant, and trans advocate. Laurie DeJong, founder of the Paper Fig Foundation, will moderate. The evening's honoree, who is well known here, is Julie Ratner, founder of the Ellen Hermanson Foundation.

A garden party, with food from the Cookery and beverages from Wolffer Estate Vineyard and Kidd Squid brewery, will follow the discussion.

Tickets start at $150, $275 for two. The rain date is June 11.

The Perlman's Tutti Suonare concerts, which showcase young artists of the workshop in collaboration with artist faculty mentors, are set for Friday, June 9, on Shelter Island, and June 10 at the Jewish Center of the Hamptons here.

Both programs will feature the faculty members Molly Carr, Marry Peckham, Itzhak Perlman, Donald Weilerstein, Vivial Hornik-Wellerstein, and Areta Zhulla, with a chorus finale led by Patrick Romano.
