A Rare Country Home
Munstead Wood is a house and garden in Godalming, Surrey, England. The garden, created by Gertrude Jekyll (1843-1932), became widely known through her books and articles. The Arts and Crafts-style house, in which she lived from 1897 to 1932, was designed by the noted architect Edwin Lutyens (1869-1944) to complement the garden.

On Sunday at noon, the Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack will host "Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll at Munstead Wood," a conversation on the intersection of the site's landscape and architecture, between Candia Lutyens, Edwin's granddaughter, and Judith Prause, who are board members of the Lutyens Trust America. Alejandro Saralegui, Madoo's director, will moderate.

Both the house and garden are Grade I listed in Great Britain, a designation of exceptional national, architectural, or historical importance that it shares with such sites as the Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace.

Tickets are $35. A reception will follow the talk.

Spooky Dance Party
A Halloween-themed silent disco dance party will be held in Guild Hall's Furman Garden on Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. Wireless headsets will feature three different channels, and guest D.J.s will spin tunes from the '70s to today.

Concessions, including wine, beer, and cocktails, will be available for purchase in Louise and Howie's Coffee Bar in the lobby. Headset rental is $15, $13 for members.

Blues and Drumming
The music series at the Masonic Temple in Sag Harbor will present a performance by Jake Lear on Saturday at 8 p.m. Mr. Lear, who grew up with the music of John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, and Howlin' Wolf, is dedicated to the blues. Elmore magazine called his album "Lost Time Blues" "the perfect marriage of 'Highway 61 Revisited' and 'Texas Flood.' "

Tickets are $20.

M'bemba Bangoura, a master drummer from Guinea, West Africa, will lead workshops in African drumming and African dance at the temple on Sunday afternoon. The drum class will take place from 1 to 3; the dance class from 3 to 5. Participants will learn the djemba drum and Wula dance. Each class is $20.
