Inspired by Coltrane
In partnership with Hamptons Jazz Fest, the Azar Lawrence Quintet will be at the Southampton Arts Center on Saturday evening at 7. Before turning 20, Mr. Lawrence, a saxophonist, performed with the Ike & Tina Turner Band, and subsequently played with Elvin Jones, John Coltrane's drummer, for three and a half years.

Mr. Lawrence's compositions are inspired by intense spirituality, as well as by songs from the Coltrane repertoire. A New York Times review of music from his 2014 album "The Seeker, Live at the Jazz Standard," said, "Mr. Lawrence sounded inspired at times by the Coltrane of 1961 and 1962: the fast, athletic, babbling patterns of 'Chasin’ the Trane' and the moral-weight slowness of 'Ballads.' "

Tickets are $30, $25 for members.

At the Talkhouse
Amagansett's Stephen Talkhouse will have music Saturday with Hopefully Forgiven at 8 p.m. and Mean Machine at 10. Telly Karoussos and Brad Penuel of Hopefully Forgiven share a mix of tuneful folk, country, rock, reggae, and blues with a ever-evolving group of cohorts. Mean Machine is described as an "over the top party rock cover band."

Tickets for the early show are $20 and $15 for the later show and can be purchased through the website.

Better Off Dead
The psychedelic sounds of the Roses Grove Band, a Grateful Dead tribute band, will rock the Inner Sanctum of the Masonic Temple in Sag Harbor on Saturday at 8 p.m.

The temple also hosts the Jam Session's live jazz programs on Tuesday evenings at 7. Up next are Essiet Essiet, bass; Claes Brondal, drums, and two musicians to be announced.

Tickets to each show are $20.

AC/DC Tribute
Dirty Deeds: The AC/DC Experience will bring the music of the Australian rock band to the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead on Saturday at 8 p.m. AC/DC's biggest hits include "Highway to Hell," "You Shook Me All Night Long," and, of course, "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap."

Acknowledging "bulldozing rock-hard riffs and more double entendres than you can shake a stick at," Rolling Stone magazine has called AC/DC one of the most iconic rock and roll bands of the last 45 years. The Suffolk promises that the AC/DC Experience will recapture the essence of an AC/DC concert.

Tickets are $55 to $65.

Another Jazz Venue
Pierre's restaurant in Bridgehampton has joined the Masonic Temple in Sag Harbor and Hamptons Jazz Fest as a weekly home for jazz. Next up, on Tuesday, are John Ludlow on saxophone and Marcello Pimenta on guitar. Feb. 27 will be Bossa Nova night, with Ludmilla Benevides, vocals, and Mr. Pimenta, guitar, while March 5 will feature Vanessa Trouble & Co.

The music happens Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 9.
