A preview of "Performance Con: Take One," a collaborative work-in-progress by Tess Dworman and Mel Elberg, will take place at The Church in Sag Harbor on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Ms. Dworman, a choreographer and performer, is intrigued by the performative nature of gatherings such as Comic Con or Santa Con, according to The Church. Ms. Elberg, a poet, is interested in "word maps, the spontaneous legibility of poetry, and how writing constraints can lend themselves to performative scores."

The program will feature theatrical monologues, dialogues, improvisational scores, and translation as the collaborators explore the culture of live performance.

Tickets are $10, free for members of The Church, who must reserve on its website to be guaranteed seating.

Really, really big.
