At the Talkhouse
A busy weekend is on tap at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, starting tomorrow at 8 p.m. with Mighty Ramon and the Phantoms of Soul, a seven-piece ensemble that concentrates on ‘60s and ‘70s soul classics. Tickets are $20.
The Phantoms will be followed at 10 by The Max: Ultimate ‘90s Party, which covers rock, pop, hip-hop, and dance hits from that decade. Admission is $10.
Nancy Atlas and Johnny Blood’s Annual Birthday Bash is set for Saturday evening at 8. Need more be said about those stalwarts of the East End’s music scene? Tickets are $35, with V.I.P. seats priced at $50.
LHT—Little Head Thinks will take the stage on Saturday at 10 with a mix of covers from the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s, as well as some original material. Admission is $15.
Jazz at the Temple
The next show in the Jam Session concert series at Sag Harbor’s Masonic Temple, set for Tuesday at 7 p.m., is “Maestros of Latin Jazz.” The musicians are Junga Lakunza, trombone; Larry Bustamante, baritone saxophone; Mamiko Watanabe, piano; Santi Debriano, bass, and Claes Brondal, drums.
Admission is $20, which supports local charities. Those unable to make the show can catch it on Sundays at 8 p.m. on WLIW 88.3.
Trio of Tributes
A tribute-filled weekend at the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead will begin tomorrow at 8 p.m. with Journeyman, the only nationally touring tribute band devoted to the music of Eric Clapton. Fans can expect covers of “Layla,” “White Room,” “Lay Down Sally,” “Cocaine,” and many more. Tickets are $39 to $59.
Jeff Beck’s music will be celebrated on Sunday evening at 7 by a lineup of musicians whose credits include the Yardbirds, the J. Geils Band, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, Peter Wolf, and Susan Tedeschi. Tickets are $39 to $59.
