The Talkhouse Lineup
The Jake Lear Trio will kick off the weekend at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett tomorrow at 8 p.m. Featuring Mr. Lear on guitar and vocals, Jameson Ellis on bass, and Chauncey Yearwood on drums, the band mixes heart-pounding rock anthems with soulful ballads. Admission is $20.
Fast Five, self-described as New York’s most exciting new cover band, will follow at 10 with anthems, top 40 hits, party rock and dance, and a touch of country. Tickets are $15.
A tribute to Sublime by JJ Sprout and the One Night Band will happen on Saturday evening at 8. The program will feature members of LHT, Real East End Brass, Westhampton Beach’s Local Motion, and Mike Maz, known for his role in Snarky Puppy. Admission is $22.78.
Nicolls Road, which bills itself as the East Coast’s best top 40s party band, will take the stage on Saturday at 10 p.m. Tickets are $15.
Southern Rockfest
The Suffolk Theater in Riverhead will host a Southern Rockfest tomorrow at 8 p.m. that will celebrate the music of the Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd. A Brother’s Revival features David (Rook) Goldflies, the former Allman Brothers bassist, Chris Anderson, who was a member of the Outlaws, and Mike Kach, a former member of Dickey Betts and Great Southern.
Mr. Goldflies will lead the band through such Allman Brothers classics as “Midnight Rider,” “Melissa,” “Ramblin’ Man,” and “Whipping Post.”
Classic Skynyrd Live, a New Jersey-based band, will perform hits including “Free Bird,” “Simple Man,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” and “Gimme Three Steps.”
Only a handful of tickets, priced at $59 to $69, remained as of press time.
