Piano Concert
Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner, a pianist and composer who has played for Presidents Obama and Biden, will perform at East Hampton's LongHouse Reserve on Saturday at 6 p.m.

With degrees from Juilliard and Yale, Mr. Sanchez-Werner garnered first prize in the 2022 Concert Artists Guild International Competition and was named Gilmore Young Artist, an award presented every two years to the most promising of the new generation of U.S.-based pianists.

Tickets are $125, $100 for members, with a maximum of two per member and six for nonmembers. A reception with the artist will follow.

Earlier in the day, at 11 a.m., Mr. Sanchez-Werner will hold a piano workshop. In both English and Spanish, he will discuss his process, perform excerpts from Bernstein, Carlos Chavez, and Stravinsky, and improvise onstage.

Tickets are $20, free for LongHouse members.

Grammy Winner
Next up in the music series at the Arts Center at Duck Creek in Springs is J. Hoard and his quartet, next Thursday at 6 p.m. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter's credits include Chance the Rapper, Brasstracks, and the hip-hop notables Jean Grae and Quelle Chris.

In a review in 303 Magazine of Mr. Hoard's 2018 performance in Denver, Alex Kramer wrote, "His range is nearly unbelievable, his voice so affecting the crowd mourned when he walked away from the mic, aching for more."

Mr. Hoard will be accompanied by Sean Richey on guitar, Daniel Winshall on bass, Dom Gervais on drums, and a keyboardist to be announced.

Beach chairs and picnics have been recommended. Should it rain, the free performance will take place in the John Little Barn, with admission on a first-come-first-served basis.

Guild Hall Gala
While dinner tickets are in short supply for Guild Hall's 2024 Summer Gala, which happens Friday starting at 5:30 p.m., cocktail party and after-party tickets are still available.

The event, being held entirely at Guild Hall for the first time, will honor Hilarie and Mitchell Morgan for their generous gift that enabled the transformation of the venue's theater.

The cocktail party runs from 5:30 to 7 and includes a preview of the new exhibition "Julian Schnabel: Selected Works From Home," covered elsewhere in this section. The after-party will begin at 10 and feature dancing and desserts.

Tickets are $500 for the cocktail party, $500 for the after-party. Inquiries about dinner tickets can be addressed to the events department at 631-324-0806, extension 116.

He has performed or recorded with Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Christian McBride, and Dave Liebman, as well as contemporary artists such as Masego.

Because seating is not provided, guests have been encouraged to take chairs and blankets. Coolers and outside food are prohibited; food and beverages are available for purchase.

Mr. Small appears at clubs, colleges, and corporate events across the country. Commenting on politics, culture, and city life, he can be heard as a regular on "Opie Radio" on SiriusXM and as co-host of the "Race Wars" weekly podcast.

Tickets to each show are $35, $50, $70 for front rows, or $150 for a table seat.

Tickets are $35, $50, and $70.

Sunny Hostin, a co-host of ABC's "The View" and a five-time Emmy nominee, will be at the Stella Flame Gallery in Bridgehampton on Saturday at 4 p.m. for a reception and book signing. Her recently released novel, "Summer on Highland Beach," completes her "Summer Beach" trilogy, which includes "Summer on the Bluffs" and "Summer on Sag Harbor."

A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Crusty Crew Rescue, an animal rescue nonprofit.

Jazz at the Distillery
Tomas Majcherski, a saxophonist and East Hampton native, will bring a trio of musicians to the Sagaponack Farm Distillery to perform two sets starting at 5:30 on Sunday afternoon.

The first set will also feature his brother, the trombonist Alejo Majcherski, who is returning to the South Fork for the first time in four years from New Orleans, where he lives. Dominic Duval Jr. on bass and Pete Zimmer on drums will round out the band. The concert will feature a special set of music in honor of their recently departed friend, Neil Hausig.

Admission is free and open to the public.
