St. Patrick’s Day Specials
Rowdy Hall in Amagansett will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with specials available on Monday, and on March 22, the day of the Am O’Gansett Parade, and Sunday, March 30, for the Friends of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Montauk.
A two-course fixed price will be available on Monday for lunch and dinner. The options are appetizer and main course or main course and dessert. The starter is potato leek soup with Irish bacon, cabbage, leeks, potatoes, chicken broth, and cream.
The main courses are corned beef and cabbage with green cabbage, carrots, potatoes, mustard, and Irish soda bread, or bangers and mash, featuring Irish sausage, mashed potatoes, onion brown gravy, and Irish soda bread. Dessert is banana Irish whiskey cake.
For March 22 and March 30, potato leek soup and corned beef and cabbage will be a la carte specials.
On Monday, a shot of the Hanson, an Irish whiskey from J.J. Corry, the only all-female Irish whiskey company in existence, will be paired with Guinness Irish Stout for a cocktail called J.J. Corry’s Swift Half.
Il Buco Prix Fixe
Il Buco al Mare in Amagansett has a $36 prix menu that is available all evening on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays throughout March.
The first course is mixed chicories with verjus vinaigrette, winter citrus, and hazelnuts. On Sundays and Mondays the entree is zuppa di pesce, made with fumet, clam broth, white wine, sautéed shallots, turnips, little necks, fluke, bass, and fresh herbs. Thursday’s entree is a lamb stew with lamb shoulder, pancetta, sofrito, chicken stock, red wine, Kyoto carrots, parsnips, and potatoes.
Also offered are an eight-ounce burger with a house-made potato bun, taleggio cheese, grilled onion, pickled chili peppers, and roasted potatoes, and $2 Montauk Pearl oysters are available at the bar every night.
C.S.A. Sign-Up at Quail Hill
Sign-up has begun for Quail Hill Farm’s summer C.S.A., and early-bird pricing will be in effect through March 31.
Summer shares begin in early June and continue through October, with picking days on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; those with summer shares can harvest on two of those days each week.
Family shares are for households of two or more, while single shares are for single-person households only.
Box shares contain eight to 14 items and have enough food for three or four people per week. Boxes can be picked up on Saturdays at Bridge Gardens in Bridgehampton or at the farm shop in Amagansett.
Quail Hill uses a sliding scale fee structure for its C.S.A. Contributor level family shares are $1,830, which includes a tax-deductible donation of $400. Standard family level shares are $1,430, which covers the full cost of what it takes to make the farm run. The fee for lower income members is $1,030. Single shares are $950, $740, or $530, and box shares are $1,330, $1,040, or $750.

Do You Fondu?
The Sagaponack Farm Distillery will team up with the Alpina Swiss Bakery in Water Mill to offer a three-course fixed price fondue dinner on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the distillery. Tickets cost $100 and can be reserved by emailing [email protected]. The meal includes a cocktail, a glass of wine, or a mocktail. Gratuity is not included.
Alpina also has occasional fondue nights at the bakery, including tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $85 per person and space can be reserved by calling the bakery.
