Alexander A. Wu, a pianist and arranger, will perform "A Music Legacy: Three Centuries of Music From the African Diaspora" on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Montauk Library.

The solo concert features music composed by Africans and descendants of enslaved Africans, among them Harry T. Burleigh, Florence B. Price, Scott Joplin, Duke Ellington, Modesta Bor, Mary Lou Williams, Dizzy Gillespie, Robert Nathaniel Dett, Tania Leon, William Grant Still, Herbie Hancock, Nina Simone, and Sam Cooke.

Mr. Wu has performed as a soloist with orchestras and as a chamber player with musicians in the classical, Latin, and jazz worlds. A Yamaha Performing Artist, his discography includes "Bach to the Future: Classical & Jazz Piano," "Rhythm Road Across the Americas," and "George Gershwin -- An American Original."
