This basic recipe for oyster stuffing, or dressing, for a holiday turkey came from Sidney Snow's syndicated column, "Three Meals a Day," printed in The Star in 1935.

New and Different: Here is an oyster dressing that seems to just hit the spot.

Oyster Dressing

1 pint oysters
1/4 cup melted butter
1 1/2 cups cracker crumbs
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Salt and pepper

Combine the cracker crumbs, parsley, and salt and pepper. Add lemon juice to melted butter and mix well with the crumb mixture. Roll each oyster in the mixture and stuff turkey. For a large fowl it will be necessary to increase the proportion of this recipe.
