At 58 Ocean Avenue in East Hampton Village, the Cyrus L.W. Eidlitz House is frequently overshadowed by the often-imitated neighboring Schuyler Quackenbush House, which Eidlitz (1853-1921) designed for his sister Harriet Eidlitz Quackenbush and her husband.

N.A.A.C.P. Leader to Talk Equality on the South Fork

Sherrilyn Ifill, the president and director-counsel of the N.A.A.C.P. Legal Defense and Educational Fund, will discuss matters of race and equality on the South Fork at 6 p.m. on Wednesday as part of the Thinking Forward Lecture Series at Guild Hall.

The free talk is in partnership with the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center.
