Another Temporary Administrator in East Hampton

Thu, 05/06/2021 - 11:19

Top-level shuffles continued this week in the East Hampton School District. Daniel Hartnett, the social worker at the East Hampton Middle School, was appointed its interim principal on Tuesday by the school board. Adam Fine, the district's assistant superintendent, had been serving in that role since April 5 while Charles Soriano, the full-time middle school principal, is out on medical leave.

Mr. Hartnett will earn a stipend of $4,000 for the additional duties that come with the interim principal role.

"There is no better person to do this," Mr. Fine said. "He's already doing most of this, and we really appreciate him for taking this job."
