Springs School eighth graders are eagerly awaiting their field trip to Philadelphia at the end of this school year to celebrate their hard work in their last year of middle school. On the two-day trip students will see museums that show the rich history and pride of the United States of America. In the evening, they will change into formal attire for dinner aboard a riverboat. The next day, students get to go to the Six Flags amusement park before arriving home in East Hampton that night.

Now you might be wondering how the school will pay for such a trip. Well, that’s where the community comes in. On March 3 the Springs Fire Department will host a community breakfast from 7 to 11 as a fund-raiser for this trip. The breakfast will consist of pancakes, French toast, coffee, tea, hash browns, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, and juice.

People can buy tickets for $10 in advance from one of the eighth graders or at the door on the date of the breakfast. All of the money from the tickets goes directly to the eighth-grade field trip.
