Celebrating Cinco de Mayo
Colin Ambrose, a chef and the owner of Estia's Little Kitchen in Sag Harbor, will lead an online Cinco de Mayo-themed cooking demonstration at 6 p.m. on Sunday. He will be making tamales with Oaxacan green corn, Long Island duck, and mole. The cost is $50, and proceeds will benefit Slow Food East End. Tickets are available on eventbrite.com.

Coche Comedor in Amagansett will offer three specials on Wednesday for Cinco de Mayo. A stuffed poblano pepper appetizer with rock shrimp, Chihuahua cheese, diced peppers and onions with roasted red pepper, and a chili de arbol sauce is $18, an entree of grilled baby lamb chops with yellow mole and roasted pastor-marinated baby carrots is $38, and a passion fruit flan with Mezcal-roasted pineapple, and a corn flour crumble is $12.

La Fondita, next door, has Cinco de Mayo specials available for curbside pickup. A chicken or pork tamale in a green sauce with rice, black beans, and salad is $14, a tamale with sauteed poblano and jalapeno peppers, Monterey Jack cheese, and the same side dishes is $13.50, and a tamale alone is $6.

Montauk Food News
La Fin Kitchen and Lounge, a new French restaurant, will open for daily all-day dining at the former site of Swallow's East in Montauk on Wednesday. Breakfast will be available from 8 to 11, brunch from 11 to 4, and dinner from 5 to 10. The dinner menu features appetizers such as tuna tartare for $18, grilled calamari for $16, and lobster toast for $26, and the entrees include roast chicken breast with baby carrots, haricots verts, herbs, and jus for $26, steak frites for $32, market price striped bass, swordfish, and mahi mahi, and spaghetti with lump crabmeat, asparagus, garlic confit, anchovy breadcrumbs, lemon zest, olive oil, and herbs for $32. Gurney's Resort in Montauk has hired Robert Hamburg as its executive chef. Mr. Hamburg, who previously worked at City Winery and the former David Burke and Donatella restaurants in New York, will oversee recipe and menu development.

Brian and Gillian Mooney have reopened Hooked, a seafood eatery with counter service and outdoor tables on South Etna Avenue. It is open from noon to 7 p.m. every day but Tuesday.

At Montauk Harbor, the Dock reopened yesterday and will offer outside dining and takeout.

Navy Beach in Montauk will open for the season at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow. New menu items include salmon tartare with yuzu soy, scallion, toasted sesame, and crispy rice noodles, grilled octopus with hummus, Castelvetrano olives, toasted garbanzo beans, Aleppo pepper, and lemon vinaigrette, shrimp ceviche with avocado, tomato, jalapeno, cilantro, and Saltines, and Maryland crab cakes with Dijon aioli, little gem lettuce, and grapefruit.

On This Week's Menus
Nick and Toni's in East Hampton has a weekly two-course dinner for two takeout special. The menu available through Sunday features lasagna with sea salt focaccia, and a shaved asparagus and fennel salad with frisee, Grana Padano cheese, and a red wine vinaigrette for $50, or chicken cacciatore, and the same salad for $60.

Elaia Estiatorio in Bridgehampton will offer an $85 three-course prix fixe Greek Easter menu on Sunday starting at 4 p.m. The entrees include roasted boneless leg of lamb, and a mixed grill platter of lamb chops, lamb burgers, and lamb souvlaki with seasonal vegetables.

Union Sushi and Steak has a three-course dinner for $42 through Sunday. Entrees include a 16-ounce New York Strip with a cabernet demi-glace, mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus, pappardelle Bolognese, and grilled swordfish with a strawberry balsamic glaze, sun-dried tomato and olive tapenade, French beans, and roasted fingerling potatoes.

Smokin' Wolf in East Hampton has added several duck dishes to the menu. A whole roasted duck is $34, a roasted half duck is $19, a half duck with two sides and cornbread is $32, and a barbecue duck and mushroom quesadilla is $16.50.

For Mother's Day
Nick and Toni's will offer a $75 three-course prix-fixe brunch, and a $95 three-course prix-fixe dinner on May 9. The entrees available for brunch and dinner include asparagus risotto, pasta with lamb ragu, lamb chops with spring vegetables and salsa verde, and wood-roasted whole fish with blood orange tapenade and lemon. For kids, a $24 two-course prix fixe menu is available for brunch and dinner, and includes chicken Parmigiana, penne with a tomato and basil sauce, and flatbread with mozzarella, tomato, and basil.

Elaia Estiatoria will serve an $85 three-course prix fixe Mother's Day menu that includes entrees such as a shrimp, scallop, and lobster skewer with grilled asparagus, a grilled whole branzino, and a roasted half chicken with lemon potatoes.

On the Harbor
Bostwick's on the Harbor, with views over Three Mile Harbor, will open for the season next Thursday for on-site dining only.

Spring Veggies
Marilee's Farmstand on Sagg Main Street in Sagaponack is offering a weekly box of farmer-selected produce for $40. The box includes enough produce for a few meals for four, and previous boxes have included fingerling potatoes, radishes, greens, and apples. The farmstand website is accepting registrations and sign ups between noon on Mondays and noon on Thursdays. Boxes are available for pick up at the farm stand on Fridays between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
