Christmas Eve at Nick and Toni’s
Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton will be open on Dec. 24 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a prix fixe menu in celebration of Christmas Eve. The meal will begin with an amuse-bouche of bigeye tuna tartare with creme fraiche and American caviar.
First course options are Lioni buratta, ricotta and black truffle tortellini en brodo, seafood salad, and wood-oven roasted octopus. Main courses are chestnut and ricotta agnolotti, sea scallops, halibut, porchetta, and prime New York strip steak. Valrhona chocolate torta, Sicilian pistachio budino, and warm pear crostata are the desserts.
The cost is $145 plus tax and gratuity. A children’s menu is available for $50. Reservations can be made on the website, where menu details are posted.
Almond to Go, and Stay
Almond restaurant and L&W Market in Bridgehampton are offering holiday dinners to go. The Hanukkah menu includes jelly doughnuts, latkes, matzo-ball soup, house-cured salmon, red-wine-braised brisket, whole roasted chicken, glazed sweet potatoes, roasted fingerling potatoes, and sautéed greens.
Hanukkah pre-orders must be placed by 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 for pickup on Dec. 27 or Dec. 28 between 2 and 3 p.m.
Christmas options include deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, a charcuterie platter, lobster roll sliders, lobster pumpkin bisque, honey mustard glazed Berkshire ham, roast rack of lamb, roast duck, sautéed greens, roasted fingerlings, and more.
Christmas orders are due by 6 p.m. on Dec. 21 (or until supplies last) for pickup at Almond on Dec. 24 between 2 and 3.
For those who would rather dine away from home, Almond will have its 24th annual suckling pig roast on Christmas Eve starting at 5. The full à la carte menu will also be available.
Art of Eating to Travel
The holiday catering menu to go from Art of Eating in Bridgehampton is now available for pre-orders. The menu, subject to change, includes seared filet of beef roll-ups, deviled eggs, pigs in a blanket, russet potato pancakes, hand-sliced smoked salmon platter, tuna tartare, lobster salad, matzo ball soup, pepper-crusted whole filet of beef, paella, white mushroom lasagna with truffle, baked honeynut squash, and a slew of desserts.
Christmas orders are due by Friday, Dec. 20, for pickup on Dec. 24. New Year’s orders are due by Dec. 28 for pickup on Dec. 31. Orders can be made by calling 631-267-2411 or visiting the website, where the full menu is available.
More Mobile Meals
Lulu Kitchen and Bar in Sag Harbor is offering two Christmas and New Year’s Eve takeout menus. Both feature oysters on the half shell, fresh baked baguettes, and apple tarte tatin. Feast one also includes foie gras torchon, cowboy ribeye, truffle potato gratin, kale and exotic mushrooms, and truffled red wine sauce. Feast two has jumbo shrimp cocktail, a smoked salmon plate, mussels, grilled lobster pasta, and garlic kale.
Each feast is $350 for two people, $700 for four. Also available are cheese and charcuterie platters, a raw bar assortment, and finger foods by the dozen. Orders must be placed at least 48 hours before Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve by emailing [email protected], with pickup by 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. The complete menus are on the website.
The restaurant will be open on Dec. 24 for service from noon to 3 and closed on Christmas Day. The regular à la carte menu will be offered on New Year’s Eve.
Prix Fixe at Bridgehampton Inn
The Bridgehampton Inn restaurant is now offering a two-course $50 prix fixe menu all evening on Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as a 20-percent discount on all wines and beer on those days. In addition, there will be no corkage fee on Sundays, and the restaurant will be open on Dec. 23 and Dec. 24.
The first course options on the prix fixe menu are the soup du jour, classic Caesar salad with shaved Parmesan and crispy anchovies, and potato gnocchi with langoustines and pesto. Entrees are Faroe Islands salmon with sautéed asparagus, roasted new potatoes, and beurre blanc; Berkshire pork chops with sautéed baby spinach, sweet potato purée, and morel mushroom sauce; Angus beef burger with pommes frites, and roasted cauliflower with pistachio cream and pumpkin seeds.
Holidays at Il Buco al Mare
Il Buco al Mare in Amagansett will host a Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner on Christmas Eve and a four-course prix fixe menu with live entertainment for New Year’s Eve.
The Christmas Eve dinner, priced at $125 ($65 for 12 and under), will include as starters Montauk Pearl oysters, cured salmon, Peconic Bay scallops, tuna, and puntarelle with Cantabrian anchovy and lemon. The first course will be spaghetti with bottarga, pepperoncino, and garlic, and the main course will be a whole roasted turbot. Dessert is a persimmon tart.
For New Year’s Eve, the antipasti are a choice of Montauk Pearl oysters and osetra caviar; snow crab with blood orange, brown butter, and nasturtium, and Rosa del Veneto escarole with Cara Cara oranges, walnut, and Pecorino. First course options are spaghetti with uni butter, sea fennel, lemon, and parsley, or cavatelli with Parmigiano brodo, shiitakes, and Burgundy truffle.
Main courses are skate wing with chanterelles, caperberries, and bay oil, or aged ribeye with roasted potatoes, red watercress, and bagna cauda. A chocolate tart with creme fraiche, olive oil, and salt will finish the meal. The cost is $165, $85 for 12 and under.
Doubling down for the holidays, Il Buco al Mare is also offering at-home catering. For dinner parties of eight to 12 people, menus must be set 72 hours in advance, with more notice necessary for larger groups. In addition, the restaurant can provide cocktail party canapes for 20 to 40 people.
