Ever since mid-March, shuttered cultural organizations have scrambled to create virtual programming, and artists have sought ways to cope with isolation, the most visible being the East End’s recent “Drive-by-Art” exhibition.
In one effort to bridge the gap between museums and the creative individuals whose work they rely on, Guild Hall is offering artists an opportunity for one-on-one, virtual studio visits with Christina Strassfield, its museum director and chief curator. Ms. Strassfield will conduct three 30-minute sessions via Zoom on each of the next five Friday afternoons. While the sessions tomorrow and Friday, June 5, are sold out, openings remain for June 12, 19, and 26. Registration, which is on a first-come-first-served basis, is free on Guild Hall’s website.
