Bikes and Bottles for I-Tri

The nonprofit organization I-Tri, which fosters empowerment, self-esteem, and healthful lifestyle choices among teen and pre-teen girls on the East End, is planning a bicycle ride with an optional lunch and wine tasting as a fund-raiser on Oct. 10.

Participants can choose between the Ride and Wine 10-mile ride or a 30-mile one, both of which begin and end at "a stunning private residence" in Bridgehampton, I-Tri said in an announcement. Boxed lunches and the wine tasting, if chosen, will be enjoyed in a socially distanced, outdoor atmosphere. The rain date is Oct. 11.

Entry rates start at $100 to ride. Participants have been encouraged to turn the trip into a fund-raiser themselves by raising $1,500 or more from friends and sponsors. More information is online at itrigirls.org.

Storm Leaves Pantigo Mill One Arm Short

One of the four windmill arms at the historic Pantigo Mill, behind the Home, Sweet Home Museum, fell off in Thursday's storm. It will be repaired, but it may take a while before a contractor with the specialized knowledge for a project like that can get to it.

Montauk Playhouse Work Will Be Done by June

Construction of the new aquatic and cultural spaces at the Montauk Playhouse Community Center is slated to be done by the end of June, according to Sarah Iudicone, president of the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation. The date for the public opening, however, is still up in the air.
