Just in time for National Poetry Month, a three-session poetry workshop starts on Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Amagansett Library.

In Each Finger, a Small Mercy: A Micro-Languages of the Body Poetry Workshop, Tyler Allen Penny will lead an exploration of body languages like holding hands, first steps, winks, and shrugs. Through discussions and writing prompts, participants will leave with a small "body" of poems and deeper understanding of the ways in which we communicate with one another.

Laptops are encouraged but not required. Coffee and light snacks will be offered. The workshop is open to adults and teenagers 14 and older.
