L.V.I.S. Fair Is Saturday

The Ladies Village Improvement Society Fair will bring a full day of fun, food, and fanfare to the grounds of the Gardiner Brown House on Main Street on Saturday.

The grounds will open at 10 a.m. For children, there will be face painting all day, a game area with bounce houses, and shows by the Modern Marionette Company at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., but no carousel.

Adults can browse through the vintage clothing booth, buy spring plants and flowers, and flip through a selection of vinyl records. Bidding will also remain open for a silent auction that has been live online for a few weeks now. Items include golf, tennis, yoga, and wellness packages, stays at local hotels and a few farther away, helicopter tickets, and tickets for theater and sporting events here and in the city.

Live music will set the tone for the day, and food trucks will serve up their specialties until the fair ends at 4 p.m. The L.V.I.S. shops will be open all day, too.
