The Hampton Lifeguard Association’s annual Run Swim Run was to be held at Atlantic Avenue Beach in Amagansett on Friday, July 12, but due to inclement weather rolling in, it has been postponed.

When it is rescheduled, the full race will consist of a half-mile run, then a half-mile swim, and another half-mile run. A shorter version offers a quarter-mile for each segment.

The cost for individual athletes will be $35 per person. Relays are permitted for the full race, with a $75 registration fee per team. Children under 18 need a parent present to register. “All proceeds go towards sending local lifeguards to the National Lifeguard Competition,” an announcement said.
