Representatives of the Long Island Rail Road provided an update on the work being done to replace the railroad trestles crossing North Main Street and Accabonac Road in East Hampton Village at a village board meeting last Thursday.

A Brooklyn woman was arrested on a drug-related charge during a traffic stop in Montauk at 1:45 a.m. last Thursday. Juliana Purcell Sheehan, 31, was in possession of Adderall and marijuana, East Hampton Town police said.

A Southampton man who had been charged with drunken driving Monday night hit a Sag Harbor Village police officer in the face while in custody, according to village police.
