Drunken Driving

A Springs man was arrested on a drunken-driving charge on Dec. 22 at about 9:15 p.m. Borys R. Cartuche Sandoval, 27, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu south on Three Mile Harbor Road, near Soak Hides Road, when police noticed he was following a car too closely and driving onto the shoulder. He also almost struck a parked vehicle, according to the police report. He appeared intoxicated when pulled over at 8:45 p.m., police who arrested him said. Justice Steven Tekulsky released him on his own recognizance after an arraignment on Dec. 23.

A group involved in a “singing ritual” were questioned by police on Havens Beach in Sag Harbor around midnight on July 28 after someone called in a noise complaint for “chanting.” The group left the beach immediately.
