AmagansettA neighbor noticed a door ajar at an apparently unoccupied Town Lane residence on Saturday and called police. It appeared that the door had been forced open, with a lower panel damaged as well as the jamb and knob, though nothing inside was disturbed. An Andersen sliding door had pry marks and chipped paint, apparently caused by someone trying, but failing, to break in. The house was not entered.
