Anthony and Michael Waltz told East Hampton Town police on Saturday that they had rented their house on High Point Road in Northwest Woods through VRBO (Vacation Rental By Owner) to a woman who used a credit card to pay for the weekend ending Sunday, July 30.

Extensive damage was done to the house over that weekend, they complained, and a number of items were stolen. The total loss and repair bill will come to about $3,500.

In addition, the brothers learned that the $4,000 payment for the weekend was made using a stolen credit card. Police continue to investigate.
