A 16-year-old East Hampton High School student turned himself in this week after East Hampton Town detectives left a note at his Springs residence. The boy, whose name was withheld because of his age, is charged with felony burglary, accused of taking part with two other teens in stealing a dirt bike in November from a Woodbine Drive house in Springs. The other two youths were arrested shortly after the incident occurred and their cases remain pending. The third boy was arraigned on Tuesday before East Hampton Town Justice Lisa R. Rana, with a lawyer, Trevor Darrell, hired by his parents, at his side. The district attorney’s office had asked for bail of $5,000, but Justice Lisa R. Rana agreed with Mr. Darrell that the amount was too high, and set the figure at $500.However, she laid down the law with the teen, setting him a strict curfew and ordering him not to miss any classes. “Your life is about to change. This is no joke,” she said. He was also ordered to bring a report from the school at his next court session, next month.Another arrest last week followed a domestic dispute. The Montauk man involved was charged on Sunday night with two misdemeanors, obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child.Town police said the altercation occurred Friday evening in the Wainscott residence of a woman identified only as “Ms. Sanchez” and Wilson Fabian Guanga, who, they said, had grabbed the woman’s child and put his hand on her throat, choking her. He was additionally charged with two violations, for harassing both mother and child. Bail was set at $300 Sunday morning, and was met.
