Thu, 06/11/2020 - 10:47

Ozdemir Gul of New York City, 36, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on June 2 when, according to East Hampton Village police, his black BMW crossed the double yellow lines on Main Street, made an illegal U-turn there in front of 16 Main, and parked.

He was processed and released in the field, charged with failure to obey a traffic control device (the U-turn sign) and with driving on a suspended license. He will appear tomorrow in East Hampton Justice Court before Justice Lisa R. Rana.

Sean M. Negron of Merrick, 48, was charged by Judge Steven Tekulsky with contempt of court on June 1 for disobeying an order of protection the day before. On Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend, according to East Hampton Town police, he was seen on Abrahm's Path in Amagansett trying to communicate with his wife and two boys, 9 and 6, after being ordered to stay away from the family. He was taken into custody and held overnight. In East Hampton Justice Court in the morning, Justice Tekulsky imposed bail of $900.

Jeriel J. Rivera-Carrero of Montauk, 35, who was charged in early May with criminal mischief and resisting arrest after causing over $250 worth of damage to a deck on South Elmwood Avenue in Montauk, was back at it Sunday afternoon, this time at the Ocean Colony Beach and Tennis Club on Napeague.

East Hampton Town police said he punched and broke the passenger-side mirror of a 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo parked there, owned by Robert J. Thornton, no address given, again causing over $250 worth of damage. Now charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a more serious felony, Mr. Rivera-Carrero is due in Justice Court next Thursday.
