East Hampton Town police came across a vehicle partially blocking Springs-Fireplace Road near Abraham’s Path Sunday night, and found Franklin Guarango-Pillco, 26, of East Hampton, passed out in the car, a 2003 Toyota, with his seatbelt on and the engine running.

After being awakened, the driver performed poorly on field sobriety tests, police reported, and was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated.

On the evening of Dec. 7, police stopped a 2010 Mazda driven by Michael Perez-Medina of East Hampton, 23, on Three Mile Harbor Road near Oakview Highway, saying he’d been speeding 56 miles per hour in a 40 m.p.h. zone. He too reportedly failed the road tests and was charged with two counts of drunken driving.
