Not Inside the Store

Thu, 05/19/2022 - 09:57

On Friday the 13th, Shamar Francis, 25, who police said is homeless, entered the Montauk 7-Eleven at 11:20 p.m. and took a 25-ounce Natty Daddy beer from the refrigerator and guzzled it. Employees told police that Mr. Francis did not have permission to drink the beer within the store, nor did he have any way to pay for it.

He was charged with misdemeanor petty larceny, held for a couple of hours, and released on an appearance ticket to await a May 25 date with East Hampton Town Justice Court.
