The Shelter Island Fall 5K, a run and walk to raise awareness and money for the North and South Fork Breast Health Coalitions and Lucia’s Angels, happens on Saturday morning, starting from Crescent Beach.
This 25th annual 5K will begin at 11, rain or shine. Registration in advance is $45 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under at bit.ly/407GW8L. Day-of registration is $50 and $30. Participants get T-shirts, post-race refreshments, and a barbecue, while supplies last. There will be an awards ceremony and a 50-50 raffle with prizes including restaurant and retail gift certificates.
